Did you know that out of every 5 Hindu's, we have 2 pseudo liberal Hindu's around us. Let me clarify this to all of you, with an example of it.
I live in the environment full of academicians. They are highly educated people and 95% of them have a foreign degree in this college.
Occasionally, I have had discussion with them on the topic of Hinduism. So I want to answer this question, with the help of one such discussion with a Hindu.
He (Hindu): Ram Mandir issue is a hype created by Hindus and their party BJP.
I: Let me clarify you that BJP is not a party of Hindu and Ram Mandir issue really needs to be settled as soon as possible.
He: But I have a different opinion. I think that instead of going to court, we need to build Hospital and Schools there. Reason blah blah blah.
I: Why? There is a report by Archaeological Survey of India[1](ASI) regarding the existence of Hindu temple. I am only saying to restore the temple. Additionally, there are lot of vacant space for schools and hospitals all over India.
He: These all are fake. ASI were paid by BJP and RSS.
Discussion was very lengthy and blood boiling, so it’s a wastage to elaborate it further. Now, I am going to discuss the other part of the same character and then relate it with question.
Last month he visited Prayagraj (he is from UP). So I enquired, are you going to take a dip in holy river at Kumbh Mela?
He bluntly said, I don’t believe in such things. I am an atheist. (Please note, earlier Ram Mandir and now Kumbh Mela).
When he returned from his native place, he started showing me few pics of his place. I was also interested to see.
After random swipe in his mobile, I saw one pic where he was taking dip in the holy river at Kumbh, joining both his hand to God Sun.
I laughed a lot and asked, why you were lying about being atheist and so much against Hinduism? If you believe in such things, feel proud to say.
He said: If you are in academia, you need to be left and liberal. This is how the world of Academia works.
So, what is the one thing that Hindus should stop doing immediately?
If you practice such things as per Hinduism, don’t be ashamed. Feel proud to say that you are a part of Hinduism. Don’t mock this religion.
If you die one day, you will only be cremated as per Hinduism. When you marry, you need to take oath with Hindu God. When you are hurt, you will instantly remember only Hindu God (hey bhagwan- Ohh God).
Feel free to take your stand, when needed. I haven’t seen any Muslim who is against their religion. They are never ashamed to be a Muslim.
Don’t be like Shashi Tharoor who said “why I am a Hindu” or like Nehru who once said “I am an accidental Hindu”.
