This fella is not a fool. In fact, he’s smart. And you should also start doing this too.
(In the picture he has covered his webcam and mic)[1]
Because, if you don’t then:
- Hackers can access & turn on the webcam and capture your details.
- Your audio too can be recorded.
- You’ll be spied upon.
- The price for access to a woman’s webcam was priced at $1 in 2013.
- You’ll fill the tummy of the person running the black market.
- Hackers can turn off the LED of your webcam and it’ll record you in plain sight even if you think it is off. Those people know their work well.
- Hackers sends an email with a link to a website, image or video, and the user is tricked into downloading a small piece of malicious software on their computer. Laptops have been hacked while watching Netflix too.[2]
It is a good practice to cover the webcam.
Even FBI recommends that too.[3]
If FBI is telling something, I don’t think you should take that lightly.
